For years, EVP has been working directly with GBoost Technology, a highly regarded CVT belt and clutching manufacturer, to validate many new belt compounds for SXS’s and Snowmobiles. Each compound gets subjected to an extensive durability regiment through our sponsored race program and on our own big-horsepower vehicles. Besides being more durable compared to OEM belts, Bad Ass belt compounds provide better grip, which transfers more power to the ground instead of excess belt dust. Furthermore, GBoost is one of the only manufacturers that designs belts for different uses and conditions for the same vehicle. XR RACE SERIES: Developed specifically for race applications or high-powered cars that thrive on thrashing through the dunes or desert. Manufactured with a larger Kevlar cord and custom braid design marrying the belt layers for better shock absorption, increased cord pop-out resistance, and being able to withstand more heat for increased strength and durability. • Built to decrease the chances of snapping or delamination in race applications when the tendency is to land on the throttle. Increased cord pop-out resistance.
• Highest shock load rating to date being able to withstand the power of the 600hp machines. Has a larger Kevlar cord with a custom braid design to act as a shock absorber.
• New vulcanization process to marry the layers of the belt together around the cord preventing premature separation of the layers. Custom blend of two premium High Modulus Compounds holding the top layers together with the cord and bottom layers like super glue.
• Increased top cog pressure load design that increases sidewall rigidity, prevents top cog bowing, but still allows for increased rotational flexibility. Bottom cog uses high-modulus rubber compound (BZX1) for better heat resistance and heat dissipation.
• Impregnated with short Aramid Fibers for better belt-to-sheave adhesion and reduced overall belt temperature. Kevlar cord, versus polyester, wraps over bottom cogs for increased bottom cog strength.
• Latest bottom cog design for greater rotational efficiency at full shift. Precision ground sidewall angle (SCUFFING) for smooth engagement, increased power transfer and lower operating belt temperature.
