Remove the spring center retaining clip. 4. Wearing Safrty glasses and gloves are the neccessary. 5. With an assistant holding the trunk lid open. 6. Insert the tool sleeve into the spring end, twist and pull it from trunk hinge arms slowly and carefully toward you. Installation: 1. Install the red marked spring in the slot in the right(passenger's) side trunk hinge arm and into the hinge bracket on the left(driver's) side of the vehicle. 2. Install the yellow marked spring in the slot in the left(driver's) side trunk hinge arm and into the hinge bracket on the right(passenger's) side of the vehicle. 3. Ensure the springs are in the normal tension position. 4. Reinstall the center clip on the trunk springs. 5. Remove the holding assistant, check the lift of the trunk.
